Carnival Day - Forms Three to Six

Today was Carnival Day for our Key Stage Two pupils.

The children from Forms 3-6 came to school in bright, rainbow colours which was the basis of their Carnival costume made in school.  The day focussed around creating their floats.  A variety of colours and materials decorated mythical creatures, rockets and animals to name but a few.  Mrs Hampton enjoyed choreographing a Samba routine, complete with colourful pom-poms and percussion instruments.  Rio really did come to our Dining Room!

Thank you to all the families that brought in scooters.  These were the skeletons of our fabulous creations.  We will get them back to you after half-term.

11+ Results

Congratulations to our Year Six pupils who have now received their results from the 11+ exams.  They now have the difficult choice of weighing up their offers.

Parent Meetings

Maths Challenge

All of Form Six had the onerous task of competing in this year’s Primary Maths Challenge bonus paper on Wednesday. This comprised twenty-five tricky problems which the students had to answer within a given 45 minutes. Well done to Riddhi who scored a magnificent 24 correct answers and Estella who achieved 21. Olimpia also shone with a very promising 18 correct.

Art Work of the Week

Miss Foster has chosen Lili in Form Four for creating an excellent cardboard relief surface showing the Egyptian God, Horus. Fantastic use of symmetry and symbolism, inspired by the jewellery found in Tutankhamun’s tomb.  Well done Lili!
