ℯNEWS October, 25 2024

This week began with a Good Work Assembly with Mrs Hampton, where the children’s efforts and achievements from the first half term were celebrated. It was a pleasure to recognise good work from our youngest pupils, with Junior One to Form Two sharing their fine work with the rest of the school. A warm thank you to all our pupils for their hard work this half term—it’s been a wonderful start!

Parents Meetings

We hope that the parent-teacher meetings held earlier in the week were informative and provided a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's progress in these first eight weeks of term.

Alumni Visit Form Six

It was a pleasure to welcome back several former Form Six pupils from the Class of 2024 this week. They enjoyed reconnecting with their teachers and took the time to speak with our current Form Six pupils, sharing insights and advice about starting senior school and navigating the 11+ process.

Reports

The Autumn Mid-Term report is now ready to view via the ReportBox platform. You will receive an email from ReportBox containing a link to access them. The report is a light-touch review, briefly detailing how they have settled into the new school year and their progress in the core subjects of English and Maths.

Please note that the reports will be available and we recommend downloading and saving a copy for your records.

Junior One would have received a handwritten report from Mrs Wells during dismissal on Thursday.

Upcoming

Charity dress up day - Mayhew Cats and Dogs

The children are invited to come to school dressed as a cat or dog on Tuesday, 5th November! This fun dress-up day will help us raise funds for Mayhew Cats and Dogs, the charity our pupils have chosen to support this term.
If your child would like to participate in this dress up day, they should bring in a donation of at least £1. Children do not need to wear a full costume—a simple headband or a touch of face paint is perfect! Alternatively, they may bring a small, labelled soft toy pet to join in the fun.

Junior Play and Senior Choir Carol concert

By now, the junior classes—Junior One, Form One, and Form Two—should have received their scripts, either through email or on their Google Classrooms, for the upcoming Junior Play, scheduled for 11th December. The performance will be beautifully supported by the Senior Choir, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone.

We hope you have enjoyed reading through the script with your children and are looking forward to what promises to be a delightful performance. Further details will be shared soon, so stay tuned for more information!
