What a whirlwind of joy and activity these last few weeks of term have been. Congratulations to all of our children for completing another positive academic year. Our Summer term concluded with a superb Prize Giving in Connaught Square Gardens where every child had their opportunity to receive a certificate for completing the year successfully and our fabulous Form Six’s were sent off with a cheer, a leaving jumper, a collectible copy of Peter Pan and a host of memories.

BSL and deaf awareness workshop - Forms Five & Six

Forms Five & Six took part in a workshop on Monday with visiting specialist, Ingryd London, learning about British sign language and a deaf awareness workshop. They explored learning the alphabet, spelling their names and received some top tips to communicate while using British Sign Language. It would be a great help to Ingryd if the Forms Five & Six’s could provide some feedback using the google form here: https://forms.gle/PhDDjriEi8vtLCwt9

The Inventors Club

This week we had a trial from a new club starting in September. The children were very excited for this STEM club focusing on science experiments of all kinds. Please be aware that the children were sent home with a little flashing light invention they made during the session, it did contain a button battery, which was secured using tape. Please be cautious for younger children and pets as this would be dangerous. Children that are interested in participating in this club that will be on a Thursday afternoon should follow the instructions on the card sent home with the children.

Form Six

On Tuesday, Form Six went on their secret trip the venue, Fort Purbrook Activity Centre in Portsmouth was revealed to an excited group of children enroute. There was certainly a lot fun to be had as the children were introduced to new skills including bushcraft and archery, alongside wall climbing and many other activities to challenge the children.
