Second Hand Sale

Thank you to all parents who came along to the second hand uniform sale! We managed to raise a total of £210 for UNICEF today! A special thanks to Mrs Walton and the CHS assistants for managing the sale. Additional thanks to Maxi Form Four for his recent donation of preloved books for our new library.

Head Visit - Eaton Square Senior School

It was wonderful welcoming new Eaton Square Senior School Head Dr Adrian Rainbow to visit the school this week. He thoroughly enjoyed visiting each of the classes and was very complimentary about the children's work. Boys and girls in Form Five had the opportunity of asking Dr Rainbow all about Eaton Square Senior School. We look forward to welcoming Dr Rainbow this term to one of our Virtual Coffee Mornings, date and time to be circulated shortly. Dr Rainbow joined Eaton Square Senior School in January 2023. Previously he was Head at Hampton Court House School. For further information please see here.

Junior Maths Challenge

Children in Forms Five & Six and some in Form Four participated in the Junior Maths Challenge this week. They did a wonderful job, the results will be released in May.

Special Mentions

Well done to Estella and Aurelia for passing the ABRSM grade 8 and 7 piano exams with merit in March! This pair of phenomenal musicians are heading for great success at The Royal Academy of Music Junior Department.

Upcoming Events

Quiz Club Maths Championship

A selection of pupils from Forms Five and Six  will be representing Connaught House School in the upcoming Quiz Club Maths Championship at The University College Junior School. Once again this offers a fantastic opportunity for the students to showcase their mathematical ability.

Bank Holiday

A gentle reminder, Next Monday 1st May is May day bank holiday therefore the school will be closed. When the children arrive on Tuesday 2nd May, they should be in Summer uniform. We wish you all a very happy long weekend!

King’s Coronation

The children will be taking part in activities in school throughout next week to mark King Charles’ Coronation on the 6th May! We anticipate that a number of our pupils will also participate in street parties outside of school over the celebratory bank holiday weekend. We would like to commemorate this historic occasion by collecting photos of any and all events and would welcome photographs you would like to share with the school community for a display to be sent through to the school office. Thank you in advance.
