Welcome back!
The children have been so eager to come back into school for the start of the Summer term! We are excited to welcome everyone back and hope everyone is looking forward to a fun filled term.

General Knowledge Quiz
The children from Forms Two to Six have prepared for our annual quiz. The results will be announced during Prize Giving on the last day of term. Good luck!
National Test of UK Emergency Alerts on Sunday 23/4/23 at 3pm
Please do prepare your children, particularly those that are sensitive to noise, that all mobile phones are set to sound an alarm for 10 seconds on Sunday afternoon.
Summer School Uniform
It was a pleasure to see so many children in our summer uniform this week. Whilst we allow for cold weather until the end of the month, all children should be wearing the summer uniform from the start of May 2023. The Grey blazer should be worn from the start of term and the 3-in1 park jackets should be left in school. Please ensure all uniform is named.
Student Teacher - Form Two
We would like to give a warm welcome to Mrs Harford who will be joining us for 4 weeks as a student teacher in Form Two.
She is currently completing her second placement with CHS for her Masters of Primary Teaching at Queensland University of Technology. She has previously obtained an undergraduate Bachelor of Psychology and Criminology on the Sunshine Coast. I am sure you will all welcome her to our Connaught House School family.
Punctuality
May we politely remind parents that lessons start for pupils in Forms Three to Six, promptly at 8:45 am. Children will be marked as late on the register if they arrive at any time after 8:45 am. Our younger students have until 9am to settle into the school day.
Clubs
We have two places available for our Friday Wall Climbing club. Please notify the office if you are interested in taking up a place for your child.
Second Hand Uniform Sale
We would like to warmly welcome you all in on Friday 28th April for a second hand uniform sale it will be between 8.30am -9am.
PSHE Spring Feedback Parent Form
Thank you for taking the time to complete this form. It is always so helpful to see how the topics covered in our PSHE curriculum are evident in the children's behaviour and characteristics outside of the classroom and at home. Your feedback in relation to school communication is most helpful.
Marylebone Youth Theatre
The Marylebone Youth Theatre Saturday classes are beginning this Saturday 22nd April and they are offering a FREE trial session. The Junior Group class is for those aged 7-11 and runs 9am-10.30am. The Senior Group class is for those aged 11-16 and runs 11am-1pm. Any students from Connaught House School will be entitled to a 20% discount off of the termly fees. They also have an early bird discount available for the Summer Holiday Course which runs Monday 24th - Friday 28th July (9am-4pm). This is also 20% off and is available to all for a limited time.
Key Stage Two Play - Peter Pan
This year children in Forms Three - Six will be putting on a very exciting production of Peter Pan. The children are delighted at the prospect of taking part and are enthusiastic about rehearsing. The date for the play will be on Friday 30th June subject to change, more details will follow.
