Good morning CHS Parents

Thank you to our parents who have been supporting their children to work remotely, especially those parents in our Junior Classes, where we recognise this is particularly challenging.  Your feedback and suggestions have been most welcome and, on completing our second week, we hope that any issues that arose initially are now resolved.  Despite the difficulties of a largely remote start to the Spring Term, we are incredibly impressed with our children’s resilience and attitudes towards their online learning.

Mountains of work has been completed with positive praise coming from all Form Teachers sharing gold star work.  Live lessons have been running throughout the days, including all specialists subjects,  from our very youngest students, through to our Form Six children, who have also been facing the challenges of the 11 plus entry process.  This process has also transferred to remote exams and interviews, calling on our 10 and 11 year olds to react with maturity beyond their years.

Praise must be given to all of our teachers and staff, both those who have been working from school supporting our key worker and vulnerable children, and to our teachers who have managed to effectively create working classrooms from their living rooms.

Whilst the pandemic takes it toll on this city, I feel immensely privilege to be overseeing the children and staff communicating positively through the virtual classrooms.

Best wishes and keep safe.
