Welcome to the Autumn Term!

We do hope everyone was able to take advantage of the glorious summer weather and that your children are ready for school! We look forward to welcoming our returning and new pupils tomorrow and it is always exciting to settle in the new Junior One children and get to know them better.

As always, the Autumn Term is crammed with activities and although it is an academically focused term there are the Christmas Plays and the Carol Concert for everyone to look forward to.

Dates for your diary 

The following dates should be noted in your calendars:

Parents meetings  scheduled for TUESDAY 18th October and THURSDAY 20th October.

Christmas Plays  at the Steiner Hall on WEDNESDAY afternoon 30th November.

Carol Concert  at St John’s Church on TUESDAY afternoon 13th December.


New faces 

Just a reminder that we have three new teachers joining CHS: Miss Cowling will be coming in to cover Mrs Hopkin’s piano lessons on Thursdays, Miss Weston who will be Miss Steel’s Classroom Assistant in Form One and Ms Grunewald, is our new Academic Coordinator.



Children in Forms Two to Six should bring their kit in each Monday for games during the week the full programme of activities is available in the Curriculum drop-down list  


Wednesday Sports activities 

Forms Three & Four fencing at Little Venice Sports Centre.

The coach will leave at 8.40 am so please make sure your children arrive on time.

Forms One & Two will play football and hockey at Paddington Recreation Ground.


Friday Sports activities 

Forms Five & Six will be swimming at Kensington Leisure Centre.

Junior One & Form One will have dance and drama classes with Miss Kate (if your children have them then it is worth sending in ballet/dance/jazz shoes/light weight plimsolls for these lessons).

New Supervised Homework Classes  for children in Forms Two to Six

Miss Pluskowska, supported by Miss Arthur, will supervise the homework class on Mondays and Thursdays, from 4 to 4.45 pm. Please contact the school office if you would like to book a place for your child. 


During the warmer weather, children may wear summer uniform if preferred but should be in winter clothing by the beginning of October.
